suPAR Science

The biological role of uPAR (urokinase plasminogen activating receptor) (CD87) has been investigated for many years.
Soluble uPAR protein (suPAR) which is the soluble receptor is cleaved of the cell membrane and circulating in blood.
The suPAR protein is interesting because the information about the suPAR level can be used clinically to asses disease severity as shown in numerous publications.
